Government Investment Partners Expands Property Management Team with Addition of Clayton Sobol
CHICAGO — July 13, 2026 — Government Investment Partners (GIP), a specialized real estate investment firm focused on essential government facilities, announced today that Clayton Sobol has joined the firm as Facility Manager, further strengthening the company’s in-house property management platform.
Sobol joins the firm following more than nine years at Jewel-Osco, where he oversaw facilities maintenance and energy management for 189 grocery stores across Illinois, Indiana and Iowa. During his tenure, he managed complex building systems, directed preventive maintenance programs, coordinated vendor relationships and supported capital improvement projects across one of the Midwest’s largest retail portfolios.
In his role at GIP, Sobol will help oversee the day-to-day performance and maintenance of the firm’s growing portfolio of government-leased properties, helping to ensure operational excellence, maximize asset performance and deliver exceptional service to tenants.
“Clayton’s background managing a large, geographically diverse portfolio makes him an outstanding addition to our team,” said Kris Jankowski, Founder and Managing Partner of Government Investment Partners. “His expertise in building operations, preventive maintenance and capital planning aligns perfectly with our commitment to active asset management and delivering long-term value for our investors.”
Sobol’s hiring reflects GIP’s continued investment in expanding its operational capabilities as the firm grows its national portfolio of mission-critical government-leased real estate.
